With IDA sensors, we reduced lameness incidence and calf mortality by 5% and 4,5%, respectively.

Why does it matter?

Subjective evaluation of individual cows results in delayed response time and the risk of health issues, impacting their wellbeing and productivity.

How did we solve this?

We installed monitoring sensors (Ida) on all cows, and the farmer received insights when a cow showed abnormal behavior. These measures resulted in early-stage detection of lameness or difficulties around calving, which resulted in a quicker response from farmers. And a reduction in lameness incidences and calf mortality by 5% and 4,6%, in just one year.

Opportunities for other farms?

All farms with a Farming Management System could benefit from proactive actions and early detection by using AI.
